Uniting Europe's fresh produce chain behind shared targets.
The Sustainability Initiative Fruit and Vegetables (SIFAV) is a pan-European coalition convened by IDH, uniting retailers, brands, traders, and civil society organisations behind common sustainability targets for fresh produce supply chains. Launched in 2012 with thirteen Dutch companies, it has grown to more than forty partners working on environmental footprint, working conditions, and due diligence.

SIFAV unites private companies, civil society organisations and voluntary standards active in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector. The SIFAV 2025 strategy is centred around three sustainability programs: environment, social and due diligence.
